We aim to make the whole process of selecting art easy and enjoyable for our clients, work can be selected in situ at your home or office or during a specially arranged visit to an artist's studio. We can provide any form of art including paintings, prints, hangings, sculpture, photography and installations in both a contemporary or traditional style.
Over the past thirty years we have found that many of our clients are very interested in art but they are also extremely busy, so for them we have developed a way in which art can be selected simply and effortlessly at their home or office after they have been helped to create their own unique shortlist using the Art Search Art Review.
To help our clients with the process of choosing art they can firstly take part in our 'Art Search Art Review' at their own home or office where they are able to quickly review a huge rang of artists' work from photographs and create their own unique shortlist of those artists capturing the overall feel of the art which is of particular interest to them.
The Art Review has been carefully arranged into sections such a Painting and Sculpture and then further sub-divided into Abstract, Contemporary and Traditional work to create maximum debate!
Our clients have described this as a very stimulating and enjoyable experience, one client said:
"It's like getting an instant snapshot of the current art world and we didn't realise how much we agreed on what art we liked until we had done the Art Review!"
The selected work is then suitably framed or mounted and installed by our experts.
In the case of prints or works on paper they are framed behind glass. Acrylic or oil paintings on canvas are stretched onto wooden stretchers and can be framed at the edge without glass. With sculpture, hangings and installations we will agree with the client the most appropriate way of installing the work of art.
Many of our clients thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to visit the artists in their studios to discuss their work, to see their full range of available art and to see work in progress. If the client then feels that there are pieces of particular interest we can then arrange transport of those works so that they can be viewed on site at the client's home or office to see if they actually work in that space.
A new private client asked us to help them choose art for their new London home which was being extensively refurbished. They thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Art Review and both agreed that the work by John Hoyland was top of their shortlist, so a studio visit was arranged to John's London studio the folowing Sunday morning.
On entering John's studio they instantly "fell in love" with a very large work called 'Lost in Blue' dominating the centre of the studio which John had just completed and was still wet, they were "completely entranced" by it and agreed to buy it immediately.
John Hoyland (above with the painting) was a Royal Academician and as this was one of the largest and most important paintings which John had created for several years he was keen to exhibit it first at The Royal Academy Summer Show before installation at our client's new home. The painting was given a prominent place in the RA Show and the review in The Times proclaimed:
"The highlights of this year's RA Summer Show include a huge Anselem Kiefer triptych, a great rusting chunk of Anthony Caro sculpture and a John Hoyland abstract Lost in Blue."

We had a very happy client!
Each year Art Search visits the Graduate art shows of the leading Art Colleges to 'talent spot' the most interesting work and meet the artists. We then take photographs of their work to be included in 'The Art Review' for our clients.
We were very impressed by the large paintings of semi-abstract figures by Kitty
Jenkins at The Slade Colege of Art and recommended her work to a new client in Guildford who had recently completed building the most stunning house overlooking the downs and were looking for art for the very high ceilinged walls.
Kitty's parents had very kindly agreed that she could build her new art studio in their back garden after she left college and on a, fourtunately, very dry and bright Autumn afternoon we were able to show the client her work dotted throughout the garden! Two works were particularly admired and we subsequently arranged for them to be taken to Guildford where, when the large 'Yellow Untitled' painting was held up for perusal on the large sitting room wall it was declared to be "perfect" for that space. We then arranged for the painting to be restretched onto new woden stretchers and then installed.
On the same rather breathless day the client also visited the studio of the abstract artist Day Bowman where they were able to view all her available work. They shortlisted three large canvases and we then arranged for these to be transported to Guildford where they could be viewed in situ and one particular
work was chosen and then installed.
Art Search advised digital/Compaq on all of the art for 26 major office buildings throughout the UK many in excess of 100,000 sqft. We provided a complete range of art including paintings, prints, hangings and sculpture often commissioning new works.
"When we were fitting out our entire property portfolio of over one million square feet nationwide, it was extremely helpful that Art Search were able to bring work to me to
select on site and could fit into my busy schedule."
