We aim to make the whole process of selecting art easy and enjoyable for our clients, work can be selected in situ at their home or office, or during a specially arranged visit to an artist's studio. To help our clients to make their choices we have developed our Art Search Art Review, showing a huge range of what is available in the art world today.

"I was delighted with the help and advice Philip gave me about the art for my apartment. The whole selection process was enjoyable. It was particularly helpful that he could bring work to me so that we could view it in situ in the apartment to see if it was suitable and that he could work around my busy schedule.
I use the apartment frequently for entertaining and the quality of the artwork is regularly complimented. I would recommend Philip extremely highly."
As well as sourcing existing artwork for our clients, many of the works we have provided have been specially commissioned for their projects. These have ranged from large scale installations to single watercolours.
Shown above are examples of installations of commissioned hangings and textile work.

"Commissioning this series of over 2,000 paintings of 'Watercolours of Britain' for our network of local branches nationwide has created a magnificent and unique art
collection for Abbey. It was a huge undertaking which Philip Herriott and Art Search
Limited carried out with aplomb"
The consultancy was founded by Philip Herriott who was formerly Secretary General of The Federation of British Artists, one of Europe's largest art organisations, where he worked with over two thousand artists. He was dirctor of the Alwin Gallery of Contemporary British Sculpture where he worked with the artists Elizabeth Frink and Lynn Chadwick and the estate of Henry Moore.
Over the years Art Search has collaborated with major organisations such as The CBI and The RIBA to create 'The Art Initiative' showcasing the best of art available in Britain today.

"Art Search's director Philip Herriott ran the Federation of British Artists for several
years which means he knows everyone in the world of art. If you have a home or
office with empty walls, Herriott is the best person to help you find something to fill
them, no matter whether it's for a boardroom or a drawing room.
Friendly, approachable and unpretentious he will guide beginners through the
labyrinthine tunnels of the art trade while at the same time he can source precisely
what the cognoscenti such as the Sultan of Brunei and BMW want to acquire. He
has a particular gift for looking at a space and knowing exactly what will suit it best."
